N-Lite ("lunch-time" peel) - Stimulation of
collagen production by gentle laser light application to
wrinkles of face and neck - painless & quick, but takes
2 treatments, and months for full stimulation of collagen
production and final visual results.
Microdermabrasion - Abrasion treatments of face,
neck, chest, hand and forearm skin which is damaged, discolored
or wrinkled, done in the office without anesthesia, to gently
remove outer layers of the skin and provide softer, smoother
skin with more even color (excellent for "age spots" on
the hands and forearm). Usually done in package of 4-6 treatments
at weekly intervals (with monthly maintenance treatments
thereafter to maintain result).
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) Treatment - Application
of gentle light beam energy to the face and neck (and chest)
to stimulate collagen production and lighten discolored
skin. Usually recommended as a course of 4-6 treatments
for maximum results.
Fat Injections - There’s
nothing like one’s own tissue to fill in defects.
Your fat can be harvested by a modified liposuction technique,
and then injected into folds, lines or “dents”,
or used to “plump” lips, reverse the “sunken”
look in cheeks or hands, or correct contours (even for buttock
augmentations!); smaller areas can be done in our office
operatory, but these are surgical procedures. Dr. Scheu
has been doing these for almost ten years.
Glycolic Peels - The
use of topical glycolic acid has been shown to accentuate
natural exfoliation, leaving skin feeling softer and looking
smoother. We use a high percent concentration of the glycolic
acid, applied to the face as a peel, to boost the benefits
of your daily skin care program, and as an adjunct to microdermabrasion
treatments where indicated, for the best non-invasive facial
rejuvenation. Ask our staff about the details.
“Radiance” (“Radiesse”)
- Technically called “calcium hydroxylapatite”,
this filler material has been in use in the US for 3 years.
For over a year now Dr. Scheu has been using this “filler”
material to help lessen the depth of facial folds and wrinkles,
and to help “plump” the lips. Unlike the short-acting
collagen-type injections, this product can last up to two
years. And no “skin test” is needed, because
no allergic responses are possible .For those deep folds
from the nose down toward the mouth, or to give more fullness
to the lips, “Radiesse” may be a good option
for you.
Captique - This new filler
material product (containing hyaluronic acid microspheres)
is best for fine lines in the lips and eyes, and can also
help “plump up” the lips. The injections are
done in the office, sometimes without needing anesthesia,
and the effects last about 6 months.
