Dr. Scheu was born in St. Louis, Missouri and completed his undergraduate studies at Southeast Missouri State and earned his medical degree at Tulane University Medical School. He returned to St. Louis where he completed his internship and residencies through Washington University at the Jewish and Barnes Hospitals.
Dr. Scheu has earned board certification in both general surgery and plastic surgery. He is a member of both regional and national plastic surgery societies and is a past Chief of surgery at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital. He has obtained special training in several laser technologies and in ultrasonic liposuction and, after four years experience with Botox® injections for treating wrinkles, was the first plastic surgeon in the area to host a Botox® party.
Dr. Scheu's interests in aesthetic (cosmetic) surgery also include endoscopic face and brow lifts, tummy tucks and breast surgery. We also offer the non-invasive N-Lite™ laser treatment for wrinkles (the "lunch-time peel"). |
